December, January, February | Wichita, Kansas City, LA/Vegas (very limited) : waitlist open
I adjust my rates based on my current location while traveling, aligning them with the typical day rates in that area. I do this so that my art can be widely accessible to those around the globe.
I prefer pricing by the day, especially for larger projects, as it allows me the flexibility to produce my best work without hourly constraints. I also offer half day rates for more limited projects.
A typical full day involves 6 hours of tattoo work, with a relaxed 45-minute lunch break; a half day is 3 hours. I usually start tattooing around 10:30 to 11 AM, aiming to wrap up by 5 to 6 PM at the latest. For larger projects, it is likely that a large portion of this time will be spent stenciling.
Any work extending beyond these hours will incur an additional charge of $150 per hour (USA prices). If you are late to your appointment, this will be counted as tattoo time.
While I strive to estimate session durations accurately, factors like stencil adjustments, design tweaks, and individual pain thresholds may affect the timeframe.
Here's a rough estimate for large-scale tattoos: Arm sleeves usually take 5-7 sessions, full leg sleeves about 8-9 sessions, half leg sleeves 3-4 sessions, and torso pieces vary based on size and complexity. During our email and consultation process, I can provide a more accurate timeframe.
For multi-day projects that require additional sessions, I offer discounted rates, ensuring we can accommodate the necessary sessions within your budget
A deposit is required for each booked day, which will be deducted from your final session cost. The deposit amount varies depending on the location. You'll receive all the details when you fill out my consultation form.
Payment methods for deposits and session fees include Apple Pay, Venmo, Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Paypal. However, I greatly prefer cash on the day of your session!
the following is my cancellation policy, please read this carefully. Obviously life isn’t black and white and I am willing to work with people who are in tough spots.
1st Cancellation:
If you need to cancel within 72 hours of your tattoo appointment, unfortunately, your deposit will be forfeited. To reschedule, a new deposit equivalent to 50% of the day rate will be required.
Cancelling with more than 72 hours notice allows your deposit to be transferred to a new appointment date.
2nd Cancellation:
If you've forfeited your deposit previously, a second last-minute cancellation within 72 hours of your appointment will result in forfeiting 50% of the deposit. To rebook, you'll need to cover the remainder of the session fee plus pay all additional session fees in advance.
Last-minute cancellations, especially for larger projects, can disrupt my schedule and impact my ability to take on new clients.
I specialize in expanding my large-scale geometric and ornamental work, both as standalone projects and integrated with realism.
I'm particularly drawn to symmetrical pieces like matching ankle or feet tattoos, paired shins or calves, and similar balanced designs.
I enjoy incorporating portraits with geometric elements and am also keen on integrating animals or insects into my designs, as long as they complement my geometric style.
Large-scale projects such as arm sleeves or leg sleeves are always exciting for me.
I prioritize large-scale projects that provide creative freedom within defined parameters, allowing my creativity to shine.
Clients often provide prompts that inspire my best work, such as highly conceptual pieces that convey deep intentions. For optimal results, sharing your intentions while leaving the concept open enables me to create something aligned with your vibe.
For example, here are some prompts that clients have given me that I feel like allow me to do my best work. highly conceptual pieces get my mind and soul working to help transmit the intention that you want through the piece. My recommendation is to tell me your intentions and leave the concept as open as possible. This will allow me to meditate on your intentions and create something that I think aligns with that and your vibe. I only take work that I know will feed my soul. Because I do everything with my heart, I don’t take work that I don’t feel will do my purpose justice. The more creative freedom I have, the better I can make your tattoo.
“I want you to use geometry to symbolize this person that I loved and lost.“
“I want you to use geometry to signify what it feels like to listen to music“ etc
Originality is key to my process—I draw inspiration from your preferences to craft unique designs tailored specifically for you.
For design inspiration, please check out my Instagram story highlight (@clair.voyage.tattoo) called "Priority Flash," featuring designs available at a discounted rate that may resonate with you.
I'm eager to collaborate and create meaningful tattoos that resonate with your vision and soul!
I don't send out designs or sketches in advance. Instead, I see the booking form and consultation as your chance to share all your ideas and preferences. I combine these with my artistic vision and experience to create a unique design tailored just for you. During this process, I may reach out to ask more questions or clarify any details.
For larger projects spanning 4 or more days, I offer a complimentary collaborative design session, either in person or via video upon request.
If you prefer an in-person consultation before your session, there's space to mention this at the bottom of the form.
For most tattoos, when you arrive at the shop on your appointment day, I'll have a finalized draft of the design ready to show you. Sometimes, there may be more than one version, often mocked up onto images of your body or a body template. I'm always open to discussing any concerns or adjustments to the design at this point.
Ultimately, I ask for a lot of trust from my clients, believing that I do my best work when given creative freedom with the projects I undertake. I see my tattoo process as commissioning a piece of original, uniquely customized artwork, rather than just filling a generic order.
Please bring a valid form of photo ID with you.
Wear clothing that allows easy access to the area you're getting tattooed. Consider bringing layers or a blanket (preferably black) as clothing may come into contact with tattoo ink, stencil ink, or blood.
I recommend bringing a water bottle and possibly a sugary beverage. I usually have drinks and candies available, depending on the location.
I'll take a break at some point for a small lunch or snack. Feel free to bring your own food or snacks, or you can order delivery to the shop during your appointment.
Large-scale tattoos take time and can be tedious. Feel free to bring something to keep yourself occupied (e.g., cell phone, book, headphones, charger).
No guests, please! While this might seem strict, it ensures I can focus without feeling rushed during our session.
I'm open to using lidocaine before or during sessions, but please inform me beforehand so we can discuss the options and details. I ONLY ALLOW ONE BRAND OF NUMBING CREME!!! All other brands change the texture of the skin making it harder to tattoo and unable to heal correctly.
Through tattooing, I've experienced profound moments of self-realization and healing. These experiences have profoundly impacted my life, helping me set intentions and achieve personal growth.
Prior to becoming a tattoo artist, I spent 10 years receiving tattoos myself. I aim to create the supportive and nurturing environment that I wished for during my own tattoo journey.
This commitment means showing up for each session sober, well-rested, and with a clear mind and sincere intentions—qualities that sadly aren't always common among tattoo artists. I take this responsibility seriously because the intentions I put into each tattoo are forever embedded in your skin and life. I'm deeply grateful for the trust my clients and friends place in me—it's a privilege I cherish.
Additionally, I strive to create spiritual spaces for those seeking a deeper connection through tattoo art. While it's not mandatory, fostering this sacred bond enriches both our experiences.
What do you want to manifest in your life?
What do you want to let go off?
Pain is a very powerful tool in embracing things, letting things go, or creating the change that we wish to see in our lives. It’s not always necessary to know the exact reason of why you feel drawn to be tattooed in this way, but I know from my own powerful experiences that some very profound realizations can show themselves through this process. Things you would never expect or were too stubborn to admit through normal means. The intentional tattoo process can look very different from person to person. This is because everyone is on their own journey and desires different things. The following intentional day can be broken down into any way that is comfortable for the individual.
This process is subject to change depending on the studio in which I am working.
Start the day with tea. This allows the person about to get tattooed and the artist to establish a connection with each other. This also can help calm any nerves and gives us some time to get to know each other. Having tea allows me as the artist to get a feel for how you are doing that day.
During tea we can pull Tarot cards.
Once tea is finished is it time to smudge. Smudging is usually done with palo santo. This is a ritual designed to clear and cleanse the individual, room, and artist. It is also used to establish connection, release nerves, and cleanse any energies that do not serve us for the day.
Set intentions. At this point, we will each write down our intentions for the day, the tattoo, that moment, or whatever you would like. This step will establish the connection with the tattoo and help the individual have a clear idea of their intentions.
At this point, we will put on the tattoo stencil
The final step before we start tattooing is a short meditation to reflect on the intentions for the day, while centering ourselves in our bodies and breath. This is a space to focus internally about what you are bringing into your life with this modification and what it signifies to you.
And finally we start the tattoo!
Some people enjoy talking during the tattoo, this is totally okay as by this point we have created a safe space to talk about and feel whatever you want.
Others may just want to listen to music or watch a movie and relax
Others may want to sit with their pain, work on breath, meditation, or reach a new level of awareness. This would be done by putting on music and tattooing in silence so the individual can focus on their pain/intentions. Allowing them to go as deep as they want. This practice can be done for any amount of time during the tattooing.
To close an intentional day, we will do a short guided visualization/meditation and smudging. Finishing in this way, allows closure from the experience and the day.
